gigs for the musicians among us

Phil Weidner is one of the most consistent musical forces in the Southeast (and a great musician-songwriter himself). He is the founder of Songwriter's Showcase (linked on the right) and for the last seven years he has helped hundreds of artists and bands find gigs and get heard. These are a couple of the emails you'd get if you were on his mailing list. To sign up, go here. To contact Phil, write to him.

UCF Arena

ONE TICKET AVAILABLE

that's right lucky DCfC fans, there's one $28 ticket available for the cool price of a smile and a phone call to 407-325-1482... the first one to call and come and get it gets to see this show for free (unless, of course, you are a wealthy philanthropist eager to and insisting on donating obscene fundage to The Social Orlando arty fund, in which case you can have the ticket for whatever price you name and the blissful anonymity or big bold appreciation of your photo in lights on the side bar, your choice)...

whomever you are and whatever you are doing, hope it is fun! J

and don't forget Dashboard Confessional and Brand New on Saturday at the UCF Arena - or - Death Cab for Cutie the following Sunday...

if you are into theatre, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 will be playing at the University High School this week Thursday through Sunday... fine cast and some great voices (one is heading for superstardom, just watch)...

so come on Orlando, come out, and rock this town J

November 8th at the UCF Arena

Panic! at the Disco

Bloc Party

Jack's Mannequin

TWO TICKETS AVAILABLE

that's right Orlando, I've got two extra tickets for this concert and you can have them simply by calling me and asking... if you are not flat broke and feel like covering the cost of the tickets, you'd be even more appreciated than a Cadbury Egg (and that's saying something for a chocolate lover)... but even if you are poor like me, you might still get into the concert for free if you get in touch on Wednesday and no generous soul has found me yet... hope to see you there...
